A spirited way to engage with the estate’s history, you will explore the exterior of the Ruins while unravelling clues in the fresh spring air.
Spring Foraging on the Estate

March is one of the most exciting times to reconnect with the land. George the forager is hosting a series of walks this month, starting with Awakening Earth on the 7th. It is a gentle exploration that deepens your understanding of the landscape we call home.
Mother’s day at cowdray
Sunday 15 March | The Griffin & Cowdray Hall
Mothering Sunday offers two distinct ways to celebrate on the estate. Start the morning with an intimate Gua Sha Masterclass at Cowdray Hall (10 am – 11:30 am). Follow this with a celebratory Sunday Carvery at The Griffin, where all mothers are welcomed with a complimentary glass of bubbles alongside a menu of seasonal local produce.
Jane Bown: Play Shadow

Just a short drive away in Petworth, Newlands House Gallery is hosting a major exhibition of work by Jane Bown. Play Shadow offers an intimate portrait of one of Britain’s most revered photographers, featuring iconic black-and-white portraits that celebrate simplicity and natural light. Guided run with emily
Saturday 14 March | 10 am – 11 am | Meet at Farm Shop Car Park
For those wanting to pick up the pace, join local coach Emily for a guided 5km run across the estate. The route takes in ancient oaks, majestic limes, and private land usually inaccessible to the public. It is a social, invigorating start to the weekend, culminating in a complimentary hot drink at the Farm Shop Café.
