6th June, 05:00PM - 08:00PM | Nutbourne Vineyards, Pulborough
On select dates from June to September, sit amongst the vines of Nutbourne and tuck into delicious vinewood-fired Sussex beef burgers cooked by Gregory Gladwin, accompanied by a chilled bottle of Nutty Wild sparkling wine. Enjoy music and conversation by the crackling fire at the Winelodge, as you settle into balmy sundowner season.
(The Winelodge will be open for evening drinks and nibbles every Friday throughout the summer, with chocolate tiffin and vineyard platters on offer alongside a full range of still and sparkling local wines.)

Discover a fresh perspective on health and wellbeing at Cowdray Hall with an enlightening talk by internationally respected holistic physician, Dr Issac Mathai. Enjoy Gusbourne’s local sparkling wine and canapés, followed by an engaging session exploring the principles of Holistic Health and Integrative Medicine - approaches that unite modern science with traditional healing systems. Dr Mathai will share valuable insights into how this philosophy can positively influence long-term health. The talk will conclude with a Q&A, and all event proceeds will benefit Midhurst Palliative Care.
21st June, 10:30AM - 02:30PM | Cowdray Farm Shop & Café
Celebrate the Summer Solstice with a guided foraging walk and wild food picnic, led by Cowdray’s expert forager, George Linklater. This four-hour experience explores the diverse landscapes around Benbow Pond, as George shares his deep knowledge of seasonal wild foods, traditional plant uses, and foraging folklore. The walk concludes with a scenic picnic feast, made using freshly foraged ingredients. This immersive experience offers a unique way to connect with nature, honour the Solstice, and enjoy the vibrant flavours of midsummer.
21st June, 07:00PM - 10:00PM | Petworth House
Take advantage of the evening sunlight with an atmospheric evening at Petworth House and Park, as the gardens open late for the summer solstice. Wander the Pleasure Garden and front terrace as the sun sets, accompanied by live music. This special evening marks the launch of Turner’s Vision at Petworth, the first major exhibition in 20 years showcasing J.M.W. Turner’s studies of the landscape that inspired him, open until 9pm. Following this, take a woodland stroll or bring along a picnic to be enjoyed by the dreamy glow of dusk. Booking isn’t essential but is very much recommended.
27th June, 07:00PM - 09:00PM | Cowdray Hall
Join us for the grand finale of the Run the Seasons series on a summer evening in June, with scenic routes through Cowdray’s iconic polo fields and the wild beauty of Ambersham Common. Choose between a 10km, 5km, or dog-friendly canicross course, all set within the stunning Cowdray Estate and South Downs National Park. This final event includes a prize presentation for series winners, plus a BBQ and bar to celebrate.
It is advisable to sign-up in advance and secure your place, but it is also possible to sign up on the evening. Please arrive between 5.30-6.30pm if you wish to do so.
29th June, 10:00 AM – 05:00 PM | The Lawns, Cowdray Polo Club
All are welcome at this day of high-goal polo alongside tractor rides, face painting, countryside demonstrations, street food & artisanal treats, pop-up bars, and more. Bring along a picnic or pre-order a delcious Cowdray hamper, and settle down on a blanket pitch-side with the whole family in the summer sunshine. With entertainment for all ages, there are few better ways to spend a mid-summer Sunday. Booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.
