About Katrine
Corporate Manager, Yoga Instructor, and Life Coach

Katrine N. Barclay, founder of Wellness AT Work, combines her varied life experiences as a corporate manager, yoga instructor, and life coach to offer you remedies to live a balanced, passionate, and compassionate life.

Katrine's story:
"As a director responsible for $204M in annual marketing claims, I noticed the biggest impediments to optimal performance were stress and feeling powerless. I learned how to curb my stress through personal wellness and began to respond to situations proactively. By coaching my staff to give their input into the process, create their own measurable goals, and to take ownership of their performance, I saw the stressful environment diminish while an empowering environment took hold. Soon work was accomplished efficiently with the best solutions possible.

This co-creative, proactive environment enabled my staff to exceed deadlines and take on additional tasks with less overtime and absenteeism. Moreover, a once negative and stressful work environment was replaced by positive attitudes and productivity.

To create greater fulfillment in my own life, I resigned my corporate position. I wanted to find more tools to empower people and help them create less stress at work and in their lives. I began studying and teaching yoga, and discovered Life Coaching. A Life Coach works with the client to recognize the possibilities, remove the obstacles, and realize their dreams. A Yoga teacher fills a very similar role on a physical and spiritual level.

It occurred to me that the gifts of balance, empowerment, patience, passion, and compassion that I gained from Yoga and Life Coaching are transcendent-everything I do happens with greater ease and flow. Due to the positive results I have seen for myself as a manager, and in my life, I developed Stress Reduction/Relaxation Mini-Workshops. These thirty minute workshops are free of charge to any non-profit or socially responsible business.

Through empowerment and stress reduction, Yoga, Life Coaching, and Stress Reduction workshops have the power to positively impact people's lives and businesses-thus, Wellness AT Work.

Credentials:
Katrine received her B.S. in Speech communication from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (200 hour level) with Nationally recognized Yoga Alliance. She has logged 1000 + hours of teaching yoga and has taught over 900 classes. She worked in Organizational Development and Training for thirteen years; is currently working toward a Professional Coaching Certification through International Coach Federation; President, Board of Directors for American Society for Training and Development (ASTD-NH), 2001-2003; current ASTD-NH Board Member; certified ASTD-NT Trainer.

Just For Fun
Katrine believes in living a full and balanced life. She created her own company so that work is fun and rewarding. When she is not working, Katrine enjoys yoga, skiing, walking, cooking, and sharing with family, friends, and colleagues.

Katrine is passionate about recognizing the value of our aging population; works as a part-time caregiver for a couple in their eighties; and volunteers for Age Coaches, helping to educate people on aging with grace and dignity.
